Dr. Mery A. Perez is an adjunct professor in the School of Science and the Environment at Memorial University, Grenfell Campus in Canada. She is also the project manager of the Center for Research and Innovation at Memorial, a research partnership between the university and the pulp and paper industry. She holds a PhD in Rural Studies from the University of Guelph, Canada. Her research interests include the relationship between environmental governance and regional development, rural systems, and the role of Indigenous and rural communities in sustainability.
